Sol Kadhi is a type of cold soup popular in Goa and Konkan region in India. It is made from Kokam (also called “Sol”) which is dried skin of “Garcinia indica” fruit. Kokam is dark red in colour and has sour taste. It is mixed with milk extracted from fresh coconut and spices.
Sol Kadhi is said to be digestive and consumed during or post meals. It also balances the spiciness of the food consumed in this area. It is either made by cold mixing or by tampering. The version shown here is made by cold mixing. Here is the recipe:
